A Drew County resident has claimed a $200,000 prize from the July 22 Natural State Jackpot drawing. S. Johnson, who had taken a break from her regular lottery play, purchased a Quick Pick ticket at Smoker Friendly #1124 in Monticello. The winning numbers for the draw were 17, 23, 29, 35, and 39.

Johnson told lottery officials that she “actually stopped playing for a while.” She decided to buy tickets ahead of the July 22 drawing and later found out one was a jackpot winner. After having three tickets scanned at the retailer’s drive-through, Johnson was told by the clerk: “You’re going to Little Rock!” The excitement left her stunned.

“I almost passed out!” she told lottery officials.

Still uncertain about the amount won, Johnson and her husband checked the numbers online and confirmed the win. “You are the winner of the jackpot,” he told her proudly. Johnson said she plans to donate and save some of her winnings.

The current jackpot for the Natural State Jackpot stands at $80,000. Tickets can be purchased at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers or through retailer apps provided by Play on the Go partners. More information about how to play is available on the Where To Play page of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery website as well as details about the Natural State Jackpot.

Since its inception in 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has generated over $8 billion in sales and contributed more than $1.5 billion toward scholarships for students across Arkansas. Over 822,000 college scholarships have been awarded with funds distributed by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. The lottery has also awarded more than $5 billion in prizes to players and contributed more than $454 million in commissions to retailers.
