One resident of Drew County, Arkansas, has claimed a significant lottery prize after purchasing a ticket that matched his favorite color. T. Austin won $350,000 playing the $20 instant game, $350,000 Cash Payout. He collected his winnings at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on June 13.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Walmart Supercenter located on Highway 425 N. in Monticello. Austin had stopped for gas when he decided to buy the ticket. Inspired by his brother’s recent success with another instant game, he decided to try his luck.

“I don’t even really play that often,” Austin shared with lottery officials. “I was just thinking, ‘It might be my time.’”

Austin did not have a preferred game or retailer but chose the blue-colored ticket due to its color appeal. Upon scratching it off in-store, he discovered he had won one of the game’s top prizes.

“No way!” Austin exclaimed upon realizing his win. “I’m glad I picked the right one!”

Afterward, Austin informed his father about the win, prompting him to purchase a scratch-off ticket himself.

“I wish him luck,” said Austin with a laugh.

Austin plans to use part of his winnings to buy land and animals due to his passion for animals.

There is still one remaining top prize available for $350,000 Cash Payout.
