Three instant tickets turned out to be a fortunate purchase for an Arkansas lottery player last week. Ronnie G., a resident of Dermott, won $50,000 playing the $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 7.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jenkins Quick Chek, located at 1278 Highway 278 E. in Monticello. Ronnie regularly buys lottery tickets and doesn’t have a preferred ticket but sticks to the same game until new options are available. On this occasion, he decided to buy the last three $50,000 Frenzy tickets remaining in the store’s bin.

“Give me all of them,” Ronnie instructed the store clerk.

Describing himself as “patient,” Ronnie waited until he got home to scratch off his tickets. Before doing so, he set them on his kitchen table while cleaning his house and making coffee. Eventually, he discovered that he had won the top prize of $50,000.

“I looked at it for about two days because it just wasn’t registering,” said Ronnie from Dermott.

Ronnie remained composed but pleased with his win. So far, only family members have been informed about his good fortune, and he plans to use the winnings to pay bills.

There are still sixty-six top prizes worth $50,000 each available in the $50,000 Frenzy game.
