Corbin Vincent, a multi-convicted felon from Hot Springs, was sentenced on April 7 to 180 months in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to Jonathan D. Ross, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. The sentence was issued by United States District Judge Lee P. Rudofsky.

Vincent’s case highlights the legal consequences faced by repeat offenders who possess firearms illegally. The court also ordered that Vincent serve three years of supervised release following his prison term. There is no parole in the federal system.

A federal grand jury indicted Vincent on November 4, 2025, charging him with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. After a two-day jury trial, he was found guilty on this charge.

During the trial, evidence showed that agents participating in the Intensive Supervision Program received an image from social media showing Vincent displaying a firearm while he was on active parole. When Vincent arrived at his parole office appointment, agents detained and searched him and his vehicle. They found a backpack containing his identification card and a Taurus G2C .40 caliber handgun loaded with one round in the chamber and ten rounds in the magazine. Vincent admitted ownership of the weapon and said he bought it from a friend for about $200 because he needed protection.

Vincent has at least three prior convictions for violent felonies and is classified as an armed career criminal under federal law due to these offenses. His record includes state felony convictions related to firearms possession and four robberies committed within one week in 2007.

The investigation involved the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), with support from the North Little Rock Police Department and Division of Community Correction. First Assistant United States Attorney Michael Gordon and Assistant United States Attorney Stacy Williams prosecuted the case.
