The Central Arkansas Bears Women’s Golf team finished the first day of the ASUN Championship in a tie for seventh place on Apr. 17 at Dothan Country Club in Alabama. The team shot +12 in Round 1, recording 10 birdies and 53 pars.

Maggie Huett led the Bears with a score of +1, followed by Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir at +3. Alethea Paige Gaccion and Emma Leroy Fabry each shot +4, while Valeria Ramirez finished at +5.

After the opening round, North Florida leads the standings at -10, with FGCU at +1 and Lipscomb at +4. Central Arkansas shares seventh place with Austin Peay, both teams posting scores of +12. The leaderboard also includes Bellarmine (+11), West Georgia (+13), North Alabama (+17), Jacksonville (+25), and Queens (+26).

The tournament continues with round two scheduled for tomorrow and concludes with round three on Sunday, April 19th. Live scoring is available online for those wishing to follow the competition.
