The Central Arkansas softball team will host North Alabama at Natalie Shock Stadium for a three-game series starting April 25. The Bears, with a record of 29-17-1 overall and 11-5-1 in the ASUN Conference, are entering the final two weekends of the regular season with all remaining games at home before the ASUN Championship in early May.

This matchup is significant as both teams are near the top of the ASUN Gold Division standings. Central Arkansas is currently tied for second place, trailing North Alabama by winning percentage due to an earlier rainout. A series win could allow Central Arkansas to overtake North Alabama in division standings.

Last weekend, Central Arkansas secured a tiebreaker over Eastern Kentucky University after going 1-1-1 in Richmond. Emma Robertson contributed key seventh-inning home runs, while Jaleigh White returned from injury to earn a win on the mound. Earlier this season, Central Arkansas lost its only conference series against North Alabama but managed an 8-6 victory in game three to avoid being swept.

In last year’s meeting between these teams in Conway, Central Arkansas swept North Alabama and limited them to no more than two runs per game across all three contests. This helped secure the Bears’ No. 3 seed in last season’s ASUN Championship.

North Alabama enters this weekend with a strong record of 31-12 overall and 13-5 in conference play. The Lions recently swept Austin Peay and saw Holly Merritt named ASUN Player of the Week after her performance against both Austin Peay and Ole Miss.

All games will begin at 1 p.m., with Saturday featuring a doubleheader and Sunday hosting the finale. The games will be streamed on ESPN+, with live stats available online. This weekend also marks an alumnae celebration as former players return to be recognized for their contributions over the past thirty years.
