The Central Arkansas Bears women’s beach volleyball team competed in a three-match tournament hosted by North Alabama on April 16 and 17, finishing without a win against Southeastern Louisiana, North Alabama, and Missouri State.

The tournament was important for the team as it provided an opportunity to face strong opponents ahead of the upcoming ASUN Conference Tournament. The experience allowed players to identify areas for improvement as they prepare for postseason play.

Central Arkansas opened the event with a close 3-2 loss to Southeastern Louisiana. Ella Layzell and Brooke Sharp secured a straight-set victory at the No. 3 position, while Liliana Irizary and Anna Jaworski came from behind to win in three sets at No. 5. However, Southeastern Louisiana won the other matches, including two closely contested courts at No. 1 and No. 2.

Later that day, Central Arkansas faced host North Alabama and lost all five matches despite some competitive play, particularly in a three-set battle at No. 5.

On April 17, Missouri State swept Central Arkansas with another 5-0 result. Anna Linskey and Natalie Blum extended their match to three sets at No. 1 but could not secure a victory.

Despite flashes of competitiveness throughout the weekend—especially during long rallies and tight matches—the Bears struggled with consistency during critical moments.

Looking ahead, Central Arkansas will turn its attention to the ASUN Conference Tournament scheduled for April 22–24 as they aim to build on this experience.
