The Central Arkansas Bears will begin the second half of their ASUN Conference schedule with a three-game home series against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, starting April 16. The games are scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. in Conway.

This matchup is significant as both teams compete for spots in the ASUN Championship, with only the top four teams from each division qualifying. The Bears currently hold fourth place in the Gold Division, while the Colonels are sixth.

The two teams have met 21 times before, with Central Arkansas holding an all-time series lead of 11-10. Earlier this season, Eastern Kentucky won a three-game series against Central Arkansas on their home field.

Central Arkansas comes into this weekend after a notable win over Summit League leader Oral Roberts University (ORU), defeating them 5-3 earlier this week. Nate Negre led offensively by going four-for-five with two home runs and four runs batted in. Six pitchers contributed to striking out nine Golden Eagles batters, and Silas Cowgill earned his third win of the season as part of a sweep over ORU this year.

In conference play so far, Central Arkansas has posted a .260 batting average and .435 slugging percentage while allowing opponents to hit .285 with a .472 slugging percentage. Eastern Kentucky recently defeated Kentucky State University 12-2 but has managed only three wins in its last seventeen games. In ASUN contests, EKU is hitting .268 with a .458 slugging percentage; their opponents have hit .283 with a .495 slugging percentage.

All three games will be available on ESPN+ and The Bear 91.3 radio station or through live online statistics.
