Ongoing construction on the Little Golden Gate Bridge, also known as Beaver Bridge, located on Highway 187 north of Eureka Springs, will be temporarily halted to accommodate local fall festivals. The Arkansas Department of Transportation has announced that the bridge will remain open from Wednesday through Sunday during the weeks of two major events: the Bikes, Blues, and BBQ Festival and the Hillberry Music Festival.

The bridge is usually accessible every Friday through Sunday. However, for these festivals, it will also be open on Wednesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 2, for the Bikes, Blues, and BBQ festival; and Wednesday, October 8, and Thursday, October 9, for the Hillberry Music Festival. Construction work requiring closures will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, September 29; Tuesday, September 30; Monday, October 6; and Tuesday, October 7.

Outside these specific dates for festival accommodations, regular closure times are set from Mondays through Thursdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule allows crews to retrofit the stringers on the bridge. Motorists will be informed about closures and detour routes via digital message boards along with construction barrels and barricades.
