Berkeley Farm was announced as a new addition to the Arkansas Farm Trail on May 15. The farm, operated by Tyler and Lauren Castleberry in Faulkner County, has grown from plants started in cups to include greenhouses, rows of strawberries, and a farm store.

The inclusion of Berkeley Farm highlights ongoing efforts to connect communities with local agriculture. Visitors can find homemade sourdough bread and BLT sandwiches at the farm store.

The Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation serves as the charitable fundraising arm of the Arkansas Farm Bureau organization and enhances rural communities by funding projects that link farming with local activities, according to the official website. The foundation also seeks to promote awareness of farming issues and provide financial aid for education, research, and rural support. Supporters from over 70 counties participate in these initiatives.

To raise funds for its work, the foundation hosts an annual trap shoot event and provides matching contributions up to $30,000 for specific initiatives such as hunger relief. These events are designed to encourage community involvement while supporting agriculture-focused projects across Arkansas.

By expanding its network through new participants like Berkeley Farm, the Arkansas Farm Trail continues its mission of connecting residents with fresh local products while supporting broader efforts led by organizations such as the Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation.
