A Benton resident claimed a $1 million top prize on the Instant Million scratch-off game at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 3. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased her ticket at Circle K Store 2709986 in Benton during a routine stop.
The win highlights continued interest in Arkansas’s instant lottery games and their impact on local players. The Benton winner said she was drawn to the $20 Instant Million ticket because it “looked good!” She discovered her ticket held one of three available $1 million top prizes. After confirming the win with her husband at two different retailers, she shared plans to buy a new truck and camper. “I’m just grateful it happened,” she said.
Two $1 million top prizes remain for Instant Million tickets. On the same day, Junious Gammill of Mountain View won a $200,000 top prize playing the $200,000 Platinum Jackpot game. Gammill bought his winning ticket at Casey’s 4532 in Mountain View while on his lunch break from work. He scratched off the ticket in-store and found he had won the game’s last-row top prize.
Gammill immediately called his wife to share the news and later told lottery officials, “I know my family will be taken care of.” He plans to purchase a new wheelchair for his son and save most of his winnings. One $200,000 top prize remains for this game as well.
Since its inception in 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has sold over $8 billion in tickets and returned more than $1.6 billion for scholarships benefiting Arkansas students. As of Feb. 28, 2026, more than 873,000 college scholarships have been awarded by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education using lottery funds. The lottery has also awarded over $5.7 billion in prizes to players and contributed more than $425 million in state and federal tax revenue.
Players are reminded that all winning tickets must be verified by the Office of the Arkansas Lottery before prizes are paid out and that official information is available through their website or social media accounts.
