The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (AVDL) is set to implement a new laboratory information management system (LIMS) on July 1, 2025. This upgrade aims to enhance efficiency and improve client experience.

A LIMS is a software platform that streamlines laboratory operations by managing samples, organizing testing data, automating workflows, and integrating instruments. It ensures seamless data tracking and reduces manual processes, which accelerates the delivery of accurate test results.

The current WebSuite portal for accessing test results will be replaced with CoreOne for Labs (COFL), offering improved functionality and user-friendly features. Starting July 1, users can access their accounts by visiting arvdl.labs.tracefirst.com, clicking “Forgot your password?”, entering the email address used for their WebSuite account, and following the instructions to set up a new account and password.

While the upgrade does not affect current testing fees, there will be a minor change in the invoicing and billing process. Payments will now be applied to the overall account balance rather than specific invoices or individual cases.

For questions or assistance, contact AVDL via email at LIMSQuestions@agriculture.arkansas.gov or call 501-823-1730.
