Arkansas State University announced on Apr. 23 that Brooke Andresen has signed to join the women’s bowling program for the 2026-27 season.
The addition of Andresen is expected to strengthen the team’s roster, given her record in high school competitions and her experience at national events.
“We are excited to welcome Brooke to the Red Wolves bowling family,” said head coach Justin Kostick. “Brooke brings a vast amount of prep bowling experience to our roster. She prepares the right way, bowls with confidence and raises the level of competitiveness of those around her. We look forward to her future with our program.”
Andresen, from East Islip, New York, helped lead East Islip High School to win the 2026 New York State team title while finishing as runner-up individually. She is a five-time Suffolk County Section IX champion and averaged 222 pins during sectional play in 2026. Over six years as a starter at East Islip, she maintained a career average of 212 pins per game.
Her accolades include being named four times each to both the Newsday All-Long Island Girls Team and Suffolk County Section XI All-Star list. Nationally, she finished inside the top 100 at Team USA trials in 2026 and placed thirteenth at Junior Gold in 2024. Additional highlights from her career include runner-up finishes at both the Parker Bohn Jr. Open and NYST Pepsi Open in 2025.
With Andresen joining for the upcoming season, Arkansas State’s women’s bowling team aims to build on its competitive standing.
