The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) has reported raising $111,327,075 for in-state scholarships during fiscal year 2025, according to unaudited figures. This amount is the third-highest annual total since the lottery began in 2009. In previous years, ASL raised $129.4 million in 2024 and $113.1 million in 2023.

With this latest contribution, ASL’s cumulative scholarship funding now exceeds $1.5 billion since its inception.

“We’re proud to complete another successful year of raising funds for student scholarships,” said ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong. “Through the hard work of our lottery team and the support of our players, we’ve been able to contribute to the higher education goals of hundreds of thousands of Arkansans since 2009.”

“As we look toward the next fiscal year, ASL is committed to making a positive impact on the state and its citizens,” she added.

Funds from ticket sales support several state scholarships administered by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE), including programs such as the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship, Workforce Challenge Scholarship, and ACCESS to Acceleration program. Information about these scholarships can be found at sams.adhe.edu.

In addition to scholarship funding, ASL awarded $400.3 million in prizes for instant tickets and draw-based games during fiscal year 2025. Eight players claimed prizes worth $1 million or more. The lottery reported total sales of $578 million and returned over $32.7 million to local communities through retailer commissions.

Executive Director Strong reiterated the organization’s goals for the coming year: “ASL remains dedicated to offering high-quality entertainment to our players and maximizing our net proceeds responsibly.”

Since it was established in 2009, ASL has sold more than $8 billion in tickets and provided over 822,000 college scholarships through ADHE. The lottery has also paid out more than $5 billion in prizes and generated significant revenue for retailers and government tax funds.
