Arkansas is in the process of creating its first State Flood Plan as part of an update to the Arkansas Water Plan. The initiative seeks public input through four stakeholder workshops scheduled for later this month. These sessions aim to collect feedback on flood-related challenges, opportunities, and resources available throughout the state.
The discussions will focus on potential actions and strategies to enhance flood preparedness and mitigation efforts. Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to RSVP for one of the workshops. The schedule includes a virtual session on February 12, 2026, followed by in-person meetings in Little Rock on February 18, Jonesboro on February 19, and Fayetteville on February 20. Participants can register at https://tinyurl.com/3amptyaw.
The Arkansas Department Of Agriculture is leading this effort to gather valuable insights from stakeholders across various regions.
