Arkansas Razorbacks women’s gymnastics will compete in the second semifinal at the NCAA Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth on April 16. The team, known as the Gymbacks, is making its tenth appearance at the championships and its second under head coach Jordyn Wieber.

This event is significant for Arkansas as it marks their highest postseason seed since 2010, entering as the No. 9 seed, which ties for the highest in program history. The competition provides an opportunity for Arkansas to advance further than previous years and challenge some of the top teams in collegiate gymnastics.

In their last team appearance at nationals in Fort Worth during 2024, Arkansas finished seventh out of eight teams with a score of 196.475. Their best finish came in 2009 when they placed fifth after advancing to what was then called the Super Six. Under current rules, only the top two teams from each semifinal move forward to Saturday’s national final.

On Thursday evening at Dickies Arena, Arkansas will face No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 4 UCLA, and No. 13 Minnesota starting at 8 p.m., while other top-ranked teams including LSU and Florida will compete earlier that day. Individual titles and All-American honors will also be decided based on combined scores from both sessions.

The AAI Award for top senior gymnast will be presented Thursday night; Arkansas’ Morgan Price is among seven finalists for this honor. Both semifinals can be watched live on ESPN2 or through an online Team Stream featuring group coverage with UCLA.
