The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration, is seeking public input on a draft Historic Bridges Programmatic Agreement. This initiative involves consultation with federal agencies, federally-recognized Indian tribes, state and local organizations. ARDOT encourages additional consulting parties and the public to review and comment on the draft agreement within 30 days.

The draft aims to comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and outlines ARDOT’s procedures for historic bridges. Comments are accepted until 4:30 p.m. on February 10, 2026. Feedback can be submitted online or by mail to ARDOT’s Environmental Division in Little Rock, Arkansas.
