The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration, is seeking public input on a draft Historic Bridges Programmatic Agreement. This initiative involves consultation with federal agencies, federally-recognized Indian tribes, state and local organizations. ARDOT encourages additional consulting parties and the public to review and comment on the draft agreement within 30 days.

The draft aims to comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and outlines ARDOT’s procedures for historic bridges. Comments are accepted until 4:30 p.m. on February 10, 2026. Feedback can be submitted online or by mail to ARDOT’s Environmental Division in Little Rock, Arkansas. For those without internet access, Jason Eads can be contacted at (501) 569-2079 or via email at historicbridges@ardot.gov for inquiries.

ARDOT emphasizes its commitment to nondiscrimination in programs receiving federal financial assistance. Complaints regarding discrimination can be directed to ARDOT’s Civil Rights Division in Little Rock or via email at Civil.Rights@ardot.gov. Free language assistance is available upon request.
