The Arkansas Department of Transportation announced on March 25 the grand opening of its Northeast Arkansas Satellite Office in Jonesboro, inviting the public to attend a celebration at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 3.
According to ARDOT Director Jared D. Wiley, “By establishing a stronger regional presence in Northeast Arkansas, we can work more efficiently with local partners and better recruit and retain local talent. This office will help ARDOT advance its mission to deliver a modern transportation system to enhance quality of life in every region of the state.”
The new satellite office is located at 600 S. Main Street in downtown Jonesboro and will primarily serve as a design office.
An open house for Arkansas State University students is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, at the new location. During this event, students will have an opportunity to meet professional engineers and learn about career opportunities in transportation, engineering, planning, and public service.
